All decisions shall be made by the track officials and all decisions are FINAL no Exceptions. ***If car does not pass inspection & driver is unwilling to change car to pass inspection – ABSOLUTELY NO REFUNDS OR RUNNING OF EVENT***
General Rules
REARENDS
THIS IS A STOCK CLASS “KEEP IT STOCK” ALL CAR AND CAR COMPONENTS MUST REMAIN STOCK UNLESS STATED IN THE RULES. NO EXCEPTIONS!!!
Any car that has an excessive amount of issues or time consuming changes (plates, cage, suspension, ect. or simply doesn't read the rules), inspection will stop and you will be asked to load. These rules are explanatory and easy to understand if they are read, with all this in mind this will speed up the inspection process.
General Rules
- Drivers must be 14 years of age or older. Ages 14 –17 must have a waiver/release signed by parent or guardian at time of event and 14-16-year-old must have parent/guardian in the pits with them at all times in order to run. The person that signs in as the driver/passenger- must be the driver/passenger for that event.
- Must have helmet and eye protection. Full face helmets, fire jacket/pants recommended.
- ALL drivers and crewmembers must attend the drivers meeting.
- DO NOT hit the driver’s door! Sometimes this happens, but if it looks intentional or careless, you will be disqualified. Don’t use your door as a shield; it may cause you to get disqualified. No hot rodding in the pits, keep it at an idle.
- If the driver or passenger door comes open or more than one fire this could cause you to be disqualified. You may fix it and come back and run the consolation.
- Must run a heat race in order to run in the consolation or feature.
- NO sandbagging or holding!!! This can cause you to be disqualified! You are given 20 seconds for aggressive hits, 1 minute for restarts and 1 minute if you are hung up.
- No alcohol in the pits, if anyone is caught with alcohol, this could cause you to be disqualified, this includes their pit crew.
- Cars are subject to re-inspection before any prize money is handed out. There is a $150 pro-test fee and you must be a driver in order to protest. Only drivers in the feature event may pro-test another car. Drivers must have cash in hand directly after a feature event in order to pro-test.
- You must have a number In Bright colors on each front door and must have a 15”x15” roof sign with car number on it for judging and recognition of the car.
- Must run a heat race to run in the consolation or feature.
- Anything can be removed unless stated in the rules, Nothing can be added unless stated in the rules or approved by officials.
- Any American made sedan or station wagon can be run. No 1970 or older Lincoln’s, no 1973 or older imperials or imperial sub frames, 4X4’s, ambulances, hearses, trucks, limousines, etc.
- All glass, windows, lights and trash, decking in station wagons, rear seat, head liner, carpet, etc. and all trailer hitches and braces must be removed. Windshields may remain.
- Battery must be relocated to the passenger floor board and must be secured properly and covered. (only 1 battery allowed).
- Cars must have working brakes.
- Gas tanks must be removed, you may use a well-made fuel cell or metal tank. Plastic aftermarket gas tanks must be placed in a metal box and covered. All tanks must be properly secured and in a safe place!! No plastic or metal gas cans. Fuel line must be secured and fastened properly. Keep away from exhaust. You are allowed 1 electric inline fuel pump must be secured in a safe place and must be hooked up to your ignition switch – so when your car shuts off – the fuel pump shuts off. (No high-performance fuel pumps.) ANY UNSAFE, UNSECURED OR LEAKING TANKS OR FUEL LINES, WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO RUN!!!!
- Gas tank protectors are allowed, no bigger than 24 inch by 24 inch. It must run straight back from the rear seat bar in the center of the car. Protector must be free floating- not connected to anything but the back bar! Must be 6” off the floor and can not come even close in contact with any sheet metal or any other part of the car or it will be cut out. If you try to use the cage or gas tank protector to reinforce the car (judge’s decision) you will be asked to cut it, change it or load it. This is for added safety to protect the fuel cell only.
- Stock or aftermarket same size aluminum radiator ok (in stock location).
- You must have 2 bars or wire or chain from roof to dash in windshield for safety. Window bars can only be 3” wide with 3”on the roof and 3” on the dash. But must be able to escape from the car.
- Hood must remain hinged and must open for inspection may be secured in 8 places using no bigger than 3/8 chain or 8 places using 9 wire with 3 loops. DO NOT SECURE HOOD IN MORE THAN 8 PLACES. Hood must have at least a 12” square hole cut out in case of fire. Chain/Wire sheet metal to sheet metal only.
- Car must have a hood or you will not run, no exception.
- Trunks must remain hinged, maybe secured in 8 places using no bigger than 3/8 chain or 8 places using 9 wire with 3 loops. DO NOT SECURE TRUNK IN MORE THAN 8 PLACES. You may tuck 50% of the trunk lid only or remove the trunk lid completely.
- Doors may be secured in 8 places per door using no bigger than 3/8” chain or 8 places per door using 9 wire with 3 loops cannot go around the frame. DO NOT SECURE DOOR IN MORE THAN 8 PLACES.
- Stock car bumpers only can be interchanged and must use the factory brackets for the car, maybe welded or bolted to bracket only, no added metal. If a car does not have factory brackets or factory shocks, the bumper may be welded directly to the end of the frame only, with no excessive welding, no added metal or reinforcing of any kind. DO NOT SHORTEN OR MODIFY FRAME IN ANYWAY. Bumpers must be stock with no stuffing or re-enforcing. You will be allowed 2 loops of 9 wire in 4 spots or 3/8 chain in 4 spots (can’t do both) from bumper to radiator support.
- Body, radiator and K-member mounts and bolts must remain stock, in stock location. No adding of mounts or bolts. Biscuit MUST REMAIN. Do not remove any part of the factory body mount including the steel shim that is inside the rubber mount!
- No body creasing or enhancement.
- Front and rear suspension and this includes springs must remain stock for the make/model of car without reinforcing. No aftermarket, no upgrades of any kind. No added bolts, mounts or chaining of suspension.
- Must have stock steering for make/model of car, no reinforcing. No aftermarket steering, no upgrades of any kind.
- No aftermarket pedals or shifters.
- Frame must remain stock, no frame creasing, no welding, no tilting or cold bending. NO WELDING ON FRAME OR ANY PART OF CAR!!!!! NO EXCEPTIONS! Other than what is stated in the rules.
- No adding or relocating any part of frame, suspension, or body mounts, etc.
- NO SPRAY FOAM, PAINTING, UNDERCOATING, OILING, OR GREASING OF FRAMES.
- No interchanging from automatic transmission to standard transmission or standard transmission to automatic transmission unless make/model would have come factory either way. Must be stock transmissions and factory pedals and components for make/model of car. No added transmission coolers.
- You will be allowed 4 loops of 9 wire on the car in 6 spots to help secure rusted out frames only or pre-ran bent cars only rust must be justifiable, bend must be justifiable or it will be cut. Don’t overdo the location of 9 wire or you will be asked to cut and relocate.
- Semi-Floating cages only. Cage MUST have a bar behind the seat and may have a dash bar and MUST have (2) side bars 1 per side may be welded together and can’t exceed 60” long no larger than 6” material. May have 1 down bar per side and must be in the center of the door area may be welded or bolted to sheet metal only, not frame. Cage may be welded or bolted to sheet metal only, not frame and must be 6” off of the floor. Cage must be well secured. For safety halo bars will be allowed. The halo bar must be vertical and can be connected to the top of side bars only and can be attached to the roof using 2 wraps of 9 wire in 2 spots don't over due location of 9 wire or you will be asked to move it and must be at least 16 inches away from the down tube in the center of the front door and can not exceed the 60 inch side bar rule. The halo bar is for safety purpose only. If we feel the center front door down tube and/or the halo bar is strengthening or reinforcing the car in any way you will be cutting. Remember these are floating cage classes except for the down tube that is in the center of the front door only. ALL CAGE AND CAGE MATERIAL EXCEPT HALO BAR MUST BE INSIDE THE CAR. ALL CAGES MUST BE SAFE AND SECURE!!!
- Tires no bigger than 16 inches, must be stock wheels (No split rims, studded tires, or paddle tires allowed).
- If it doesn’t say you can do it, this means more than likely you can’t do it. Judges' decisions are FINAL!!!!
- CHEVY car - CHEVY motor; FORD car - FORD motor; CHRYSLER car - CHRYSLER motor etc. All motors MUST remain stock; NO UPGRADED ENGINES OR ENGINES PARTS. OEM parts only “NO EXCEPTIONS”.
- You will be allowed 1 plate on drivers’ side and 1 plate on passenger side not to exceed 4”x6”x1/2” thick flat plate (no gusset on plate) to weld or bolt to the cross member only, to allow welding or bolting of a factory rubber motor mount. No motor mount straps. This plate cannot strengthen the car or frame in any way. You may have 1 piece of chain per side no bigger than 3/8” from motor to cross member chain must be bolted and have slack.
- You are allowed 1 plate not to exceed 4”x6”x1/4”-thick flat plate (no gusset on plate) to weld or bolt to factory cross members to weld or bolt a factory transmission mount too. This plate cannot strengthen the cross member or car in any way.
- All motor and transmission mounts must be OEM and motor mount brackets must be factory, NO HOMEMADE OR AFTERMARKET.
- Motor must be in stock location. ABSOLUTELY NO motor upgrades, homemade parts, and aftermarket parts of any kind or you will not run.
- Headers or Exhaust manifolds may be used, but must point straight up or down, NOT FORWARD OR BACKWARDS.
- Carburetor adaptors ok. Must be OEM carburetor, OEM intake, no aftermarket, NO EXCEPTIONS.
- You can run the shifter through the floor and you can have a switch panel. You may also have a hand throttle. Switch panel must be wired to the fuel pump.
- No aftermarket or high-performance fuel or ignition systems.
- No engine or transmission cradles of any kind.
REARENDS
- Must be OEM rear ends and gear ratios for make/model of car (Chevy/Chevy, Ford/Ford, Chrysler/Chrysler, etc). No aftermarket axles. “NO EXCEPTIONS''. STOCK OEM parts only however you may weld your spider gears.
- Stock drive shafts only (NO AFTERMARKET SHAFTS OR YOKES OF ANY KIND).
